During this time of year, we all look forward to changing weather, lots of amazing food, and giving thanks to the people in our lives who are important to us. Our team would like to take a moment to express our appreciation to you, our valued patients. We’re honored by the loyalty and trust you place in the Drs. Boyd, and it allows us to create smiles that are healthier and happier – which is what we love to do most! We are blessed to have developed so many meaningful relationships with you and your families over the years.
Great things happened to the Drs. Boyd in 2017. In March, we announced the merger of expert prosthodontist Dr. Paul Tanners’ practice with ours. Dr. Tanners has given the Drs. Boyd his full trust and confidence and is no longer seeing patients. However, he is still available for consultation and loves to hear from his patients. Dr. Tanners’ longtime registered dental hygienists, Swati and Diane, have been welcome additions to our team.
We also added two more friendly faces to our team. Vanna is a Patient Care Coordinator, assisting patients with their scheduling, dental insurance, and other needs. Jemlyn, also a Patient Care Coordinator, warmly greets patients as they arrive and assists them with their scheduling and other needs.
In addition to growing the practice in 2017, the Drs. Boyd celebrated 25-year anniversaries for Bella (Lead Dental Assistant) and Mary (Practice Coordinator). For more than two decades, their commitment, hard work and dedication have been vital to the success of our Midtown East dental practice. It’s heartening to know that the Drs. Boyd have patients and families who have been here for at least that long – if not longer!
We are also proud to share that Dr. Andrew continues to teach as an associate clinical professor at NYU, and is now teaching in the postgraduate prosthodontics specialty clinic.
We added some exciting technology to the practice in 2017 – a dental digital scanning impression system. The equipment captures intraoral scans of a patient’s teeth and the gingival tissue to generate a 3D digital model that can be used for planning implants with our surgical colleagues as well as for preparing crowns and bridges. It eliminates the need for impressions.
Our yearlong Gift of Health program has been a resounding success which helps friends and loved ones receive high quality dental care. Do you have a friend or a loved one who isn’t taking very good care of their teeth? Just ask one of us for information about referring someone to our office.
We sincerely hope that the holidays bring you and your loved ones plenty of new, fond memories. During your next appointment, we’d love to hear about how you celebrated these special days. Thank you again for choosing to be a part of our dental family this year and for hopefully many more years in the future.
